We are working on self- reliance in English with a homework assignment every week. We are also reading personal books as well as a group book. One class has decided to read “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe” by C.S. Lewis and the other class is reading “Winnie-The- Pooh” by A.A. Milne. Later in the semester we will begin a book club within the classroom to expand our engagement with reading!
In English we are currently reading the Hunger Games and Blogging about our thoughts of the book so far. The books that has gained much acclaim, especially in teenagers, is packed with excitement, adventure, and mystery. The students are learning about various literary elements as we read along and developing reading technique for comprehension as well.
My Life with Cerebral Palsy

At the morning I go to DRIVE at the Keuka College.
I wake up, my mom Anna and my dad Kayo to help me get out of bed. Every morning I eat breakfast. I need to get it done. I use the lift to help me out going to the bathroom and get me in the wheelchair. My dad helps make me brush my teeth.
I don’t like people who are mean. I am good at advocating. I like to help other people. I go to DRIVE class. I have taken 21 college classes. I like to eat lunch at noon! I need a schedule. On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday I go to OT to Doug. In OT I need to get it done.
When I graduate in May, I have a business plan. I am going to deliver food to people: I need to do that, because I need to get it done.
I have to let you know I do not like being in all day because I need to get out of the house today. I have a good friend named Danny. I like to help Danny out. My other friend is named Brittany. She loves to help me out.
