In the class History Through Films, the students watched the movie called “The Queen” to learn more about the royals family’s reaction when Princess Diana death. The students learned more about who the Royal Family is, who Princess Diana was, and about the new Prime Minister.
In the class History Through Films the student watch a movie with a historical background. Before the movie the students brainstorm prior knowledge of what they know about the topic.
Then the class starts the movies. stopping it throughout to point out major events that are occurring. Both during the movie and at the end of the movie the class talks about the historical points that were historically true and the items that were placed in the movie to make it more entertaining.
The students are able to put a great deal of their own thought into the class and give input of where they’d like the class to move and what history they would like to learn about.
